After months of rigorous review and fierce competition among nearly a thousand excellent projects nationwide, the list of winners for the 12th China Technology Market Association Golden Bridge Award has been announced. The "Industrialization and Application Research of Biological Nematicide Barrier®" scientific achievement, jointly submitted by Wuhan KERNEL Biotechnology Co., Ltd. The "Industrialization and Application Research of Biological Nematicide Barrier®" project, through university-enterprise collaboration, combined the advantages of Professor Sun Ming's team from Huazhong Agricultural University's Agricultural Microbial Resources and National Key Laboratory in screening and mechanism analysis of Bacillus thuringiensis strains, along with KERNEL's high-end manufacturing technology for agricultural biological defense Bacillus. The product demonstrates excellent egg-breaking and fast nematode-killing effects, effectively compensating for the shortcoming of existing mainstream chemical nematicides that cannot kill eggs. It has obtained new biological pesticide registration certificates for nematodes in three different crops: tomato root-knot nematodes, soybean cyst nematodes, and tobacco root-knot nematodes.
